Restorative Care
Despite our best preventive efforts, sometimes restorative care becomes necessary — and when it does, you're in great hands. Our restorative treatments are designed with one goal in mind: to do what's needed, preserve what's healthy, and keep your child as comfortable as possible throughout. From tooth-colored fillings and zirconia crowns to extractions and space maintainers, we offer everything your child may need under one roof. We're committed to a minimally invasive approach and will always walk you through our recommendations clearly and honestly before any treatment begins.
Dental Fillings
Even the most diligent brushers can occasionally get a cavity — and when that happens, we make the experience as quick and comfortable as possible! We use white, tooth-colored composite filling material that blends beautifully with your child's natural smile. No silver, no metal, no evidence that anything was ever there!
Composite materials allow us to remove only the decayed portion of the tooth, preserving as much healthy structure as possible. It's a minimally invasive approach we're proud of — because we believe in doing what's necessary and nothing more. Using our digital x-rays, we'll show you exactly what we see and walk you through every step before we begin. No surprises, just solutions!
Baby Root Canals + crowns
When a cavity is too large for a filling, or has reached the inner pulp of the tooth, we have two powerful tools to restore your child's tooth and keep it strong and functional. Think of it as giving a tooth that needs extra support its very own superhero treatment!
Pulp Therapy (Baby Root Canal) If decay has reached the nerve of a tooth, a pulp therapy — sometimes called a baby root canal — may be needed before placing a crown. We know that sounds intimidating, but we promise it's far gentler than it sounds! The procedure simply removes the affected portion of the nerve, relieving any discomfort and saving the tooth so it can stay in place until it's naturally ready to come out. Keeping baby teeth healthy and in place matters more than most people realize — they hold space for incoming permanent teeth and play a big role in your child's speech and chewing development.
Crowns Once pulp therapy is complete — or when a cavity is simply too large for a filling — a crown is placed to fully protect and restore the tooth. We offer beautiful tooth-colored Sprig zirconia crowns for a natural look, and traditional stainless steel crowns for their incredible durability on back teeth. We'll always explain which option we recommend and why, so you feel fully informed and confident in the plan. As always, we're committed to a minimally invasive approach and will never recommend more than what's truly needed.
Extractions & Space Maintainers
Sometimes a stubborn baby tooth just needs a little extra help making its exit — and that's totally okay! Extractions can feel intimidating, but we've made it our mission to turn this appointment into something far less scary than it sounds.
From the moment your child sits in our chair, we're focused on keeping them calm, comfortable, and even smiling. We use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and gentle numbing techniques to make sure they feel as little as possible — and our notoriously terrible attempts at singing do the rest! (Seriously, you have to hear it to believe it!)
When a tooth is removed early, a space maintainer may be recommended to hold that space open for the incoming permanent tooth — protecting your child's smile and keeping their dental development right on track. We'll always explain exactly what's needed and why, so you feel just as comfortable as your little one!
